How should I store my meat to keep it fresh?
Meat should always be stored below 5°C to maintain freshness and ensure the cold chain is preserved. Here are a few tips:
If you are travelling from a reasonable distance to shop with us, we usually recommend that you come prepared with cooler bags and frozen pads to ensure the safe transportation of the fresh product.
Refrigeration: Keep fresh meat in the coldest part of your fridge (bottom shelf) and use it within 2-3 days for best quality.
Freezing: If you’re not using it right away, vacuum-sealed meat can last months in the freezer without losing quality.
Defrosting: Always thaw in the fridge, not at room temperature, to keep it safe.
What is your return or satisfaction guarantee policy?
We take huge pride in the quality of our meats and want every customer to be 100% happy with their purchase. If something’s not quite right, let us know within a reasonable timeframe, and we’ll work with you to find a solution, whether that’s a replacement or a refund.
It’s important to remember that meat is a natural product, and while we source from trusted suppliers and they provide strict quality specifications, no two cuts are exactly the same. Occasionally, a piece might not meet expectations, and when that happens, we’re always happy to make it right, because your satisfaction matters to us!
what are the sausages made with? Are they gluten free?
Our gourmet sausages are made in-house using premium grass-fed beef, lamb, or pork, blended with hand-selected seasonings and spices. All our sausages are gluten-free because we use a rice-based mix instead of traditional fillers, so you can enjoy them with confidence.
Do you always sell the same items all year round?
No, not all of our products are available year round. Many of our specialty cuts and premium meats are seasonal, meaning they might only be available for a few months at a time. This is because factors like weather conditions, cattle growth cycles, and farming practices influence when certain meats are at their best in terms of flavor, quality, and availability.
Another key factor is global demand and exports. Australia exports a significant portion of its high quality beef and specialty meats to overseas markets, which can sometimes affect local availability and pricing. If there’s high demand internationally, certain cuts may become harder to source, dearer or temporarily unavailable for retail customers like us.
That being said, we do our best to keep customer favorites in stock as consistently as possible, and we’re always transparent about availability. If you’re looking for a specific product, feel free to ask us in-store or keep an eye on our social media and email newsletter for updates on seasonal and limited-stock items.
